Validated the use of the Picture Potency Formula for predicting the extent to which pictures will stimulate stories by asking twenty-four 8-10-year-old children to tell a story about pictures rated by the formula as being High, Medium, and Low potency pictures. Potential used of picture formulae are discussed.
